Site-specific, rainbow light installation made from Sunlight, prisms, and the mall's two story courtyard
Using a 35,000 watt heliostat solar tracking mirror, a roof top periscope and four 8' x 8' flat solar prisms, Peter Erskine's site-specific, SUNDANCE installation transforms ordinary Sunlight into giant solar spectrum beams, bathing the two story courtyard in breathtaking beauty. Five 8' x 12' mirrors suspended from the mall ceiling mix the rainbow colors in to millions of new hues on the the escalators and the floor below.
